Make a difference in our community.

When you donate with an act of kindness, we ensure that it goes directly into our Windsor and Essex County community. There are several ways in which you can help make a difference in someone’s life.

Items of Need

Love In Action accepts new and gently used items. These donations from the public helps those we assist in their housing and day to day needs.

We currently have a high demand for the following items:

• Used Cell Phones (unlocked)
• Food (dry goods)
• Toiletries
• Bedding
• Pots/Pans/Cutlery
• Plates/Bowls
• Clothing, especially to aide with job interviews
• Craft Supplies
• Board Games
• Puzzles
• Cards
• Clean Out Your Closet – Give gently used clothes to our organization to provide attire to women as a means of helping them achieve self-sufficiency
• Donate your gently worn shoes

Volunteer Your Time

If you have a few hours a week to spare, sign up to work with our organization. The sort of volunteer opportunities available to you will vary depending on your time. You might be able to:

• Help people transition to finding a job and paying bills
• Provide mock interview skills; assisting people with trying to find new
• Teaching people to read or brush up on skills needed to get a job
• Use your skill set to assist people in other ways (for instance, by giving free haircuts, mentoring individuals to get past the stigma of being homeless with the goal of obtaining employment and housing)
• Help a senior citizen learn how to use technology such as a computer or smartphone.

Estate Cleanouts

Estate Cleanouts for a family can often be a time-consuming and an emotional task. Our responsible team can undertake this challenge by taking the burden off your family. We will pay special attention to specific items of sentimental value and leave them aside for your family to sort through at a later time. The remaining items we will gladly assist with removal services as instructed.
